Holdyard airport parking held in writing, Milwaukee +1 (414) 431-6802 Monday to Saturday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Central

Holdyard books parking and nothing else, as an independent service provider. No airline, hotel chain, government agency or other brand is affiliated with it. None endorses it. None sponsors it, and it owns and operates no lot of its own.

This counter answers

The Day Rate If the Return Slips

This counter cannot promise a place, a roof or a van. It can promise that the number for a late return is written down before you leave, because writing it down is entirely within its control.

The four fields

What the hold asks
If the car stands one or two days longer than the dates on the hold, what is charged for those days
What comes back
The daily rate the quote already names for exactly that case, printed before you travel rather than worked out afterwards
When to ask
In the quote itself, always, without being asked
If it is not asked
There is no case where it is not there. A quote from this counter that does not name the slip rate is a defective quote and gets reissued

Why this belongs in the group this counter answers for

The three groups on the worksheet exist to keep an honest boundary. The operator group holds facts only a lot can give. The silent group holds questions nobody will answer. This group holds the small set of things this counter itself controls, which is: the paperwork, the timing of the questions, and the quote.

The slip rate is paperwork. Nobody has to be persuaded and no ground has to be inspected. The rate for an extra day either appears in the quote or it does not, and this counter decides which.

What a slip actually costs

Two numbers, and they are not the same:

  • The extra day itself, at whatever daily rate the lot quoted for the dates originally booked or at a different rate it names for days beyond them. Some lots price an overrun at the same rate. Some price it higher. The quote says which, per lot.
  • Anything the lot adds for an unannounced overrun. This is the one that surprises people. Where a lot has such an addition, it is on the rates page with whose charge it is.

The one thing worth doing when you know

Telephone. Not because anything is guaranteed by it, but because an overrun a lot knows about is an ordinary matter and an overrun it discovers is an exception, and exceptions are where additions live. The counter answers Monday to Saturday between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm Central. Outside those hours a request waits in the queue with the time it arrived on it. Nobody here claims to answer at every hour, because nobody here does.

What this line still cannot do

It cannot hold the ground for the extra days. A lot that is full on the eleventh day is full, and no line in any hold changes that. What the quote gives you is the price of the days if they are available, which is a smaller and more honest thing than an assurance that they will be.

There are no hidden fees in this counter's own quote, because the quote is the whole of what this counter charges, which is nothing. The flag no_hidden_fees is still false on this site, and the reason is on the claims sheet: the operator's charges are the operator's, and a claim about them is not this counter's to make.
